Our Glass Blower Artisans specialise in the hand crafting of sculptures, lighting, bowls and vases. Glass Blower Masters train for 12 years to become accomplished in their craft and create the glass locally in order for it to be named Murano Glass. It is one of the reasons the Venetian Island of Murano has become so world famous.
Works by Master Murano Glass artisans are on display in the most prestigious and well known museums in the world; many pieces are a product of impressive glassmaking techniques synonymous with Venice and Murano.
These techniques, namely, Aventurina, Murino, Sbruffi, Iridescent etc, originally emerged in the 16th century in an effort to imitate ancient Roman vases and glass bottles.
